Being a mental health case doesnt exempt you from taking a life of another. Just makes you dead quicker.

So much truth in this comment. Your right; the fact is police are not trained to deal with the mentally ill and shouldn't have to be. In our current state of mental healthcare I'd understand them teaching police recognizing blatant signs of psychosis, but they aren't mental health workers and shouldn't be expected to play both protector and caregiver.
