Every year children, especially little girls, sit down on an escalator step and their pony-tails get sucked into the machinery and they end up being scalped. Over the last few years they have been made somewhat "safer", but they are still a million miles from "Safe". What it all boils down to is....."Pay Attention To What You're Doing".  |

That is totally amazing.  I always assumed you could sever a limb or lose a toe on the claw edge of the steps if you fell,but I had no idea you could go completely under.Is this an old-fashioned 'moving steps' model or the newer flat 'moving walkway' type? I always wondered why you don't see the old fashioned kind so much any more.If this is the old kind,maybe that's why.Weird thing is,I took my niece shopping and she asked about the danger signage on the escalator.Don't think I'll tell her it could eat her,tho'. |
