No, restraints are used in hospitals when a patient poses a safety risk to either themselves and/or the staff. COVID made everything worse--my workplace saw an 80% increase in violence towards staff. Now we wear personal panic buttons. It's bad. Though we would never use restraints like those in the video. For one, the patient can reach the knots, which is probably how he got his left arm free. Secondly, we also restrain the legs on the thrashers. Four point restraints likely would have prevented him from falling out of bed. Thirdly, the patient is checked on frequently so that something like this doesn't happen. |

Well clearly you don't live in the United States and you never have. Here they are obliged to treat you whether or not you can pay. No one ever dies on the sidewalk or in the entrance LOL
