Here's the thing, the guy was so focused on stabbing the women that a hard kick to the head (something that would have made him stop instantly) would have been pretty easy to pull off. The only reason it didn't happen is because the bystanders were afraid of legal retribution for hurting the guy; they were already close enough to kick him, they weren't too afraid of having a knife waved at them it seems.

If anything it's backwards that someone could be jailed for intervening in a situation where one person is likely to die if you don't help.

Now let me say that we really wouldn't know how we'd react until something happens in front of us. I mean, I'd like to think that I'd run up and punt him in the face hard enough to knock him out but I really don't know.

The laws in Holland are kinda fucked up like that. For example. if there's a burgelar in your house and you hit him with something, he can press charges against you and HE will win.

A couple of years ago this woman was sitting in her car, some marrocan douchebag tried to steal her bag through her window, out of panic she stepped on the gas, drove over the fucker and killed him. She got jail time.

If they'd kick harder then this, they would've definitly had some legal troubles over here. It just sucks this way.
