I dont get why people are so pissed...suppose there is always going to be the people that say fuck the police no matter what. No matter the weapon it was one able to kill or maim...how hard would it have been for him to smack one cop and then turn on the other and have them both beaten bloody or dead? Its basic and has always been the case...you attack or appear to be a threat to a cops life they WILL take you down. They didn't do anything wrong. He is dead through fault of his own. |

They tried the tazer first. That is why the guy turned and advanced at the cop with his axe. The tazer was not effective. They definately shot more times than was necessary, but the cops did not break the law. They were allowed to open fire when he advanced at them with the axe. The actual number of shots allowed to be fired is not defined in the law. That is up to the officer's discretion. Once a perp enables an officer to open fire, you can't expect an officer to simply 'shoot to wound'. This shooting was TOTALLY justified, and I would have been laughing if I filmed it as well. One less psycho path on the streets.
