Sums up the callous indifference of humanity; this happened in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Heartbreaking seeing this poor man  I would have just held his hand and comforted him in his last moments on the earth. Its obvious the people are communists; no compassion whatsoever |

he is not fully conscious, slipping slowly into coma... btw this is called Ghost limb phenomena.. victims still feel as if they had their lower limbs still attached to their body and try to feel it or move it |

It wouldnt suprise me if he couldnt see anything around him. When i had a serious car accident one of the first senses i lost was my sight, its natures way of shutting things down. Obviously my sight came back when i came around in hospital. I can just remember lying there waiting for help to come but not being able to see anything.

Actually, with that much damage to the spinal cord and to his overall system, I doubt he could feel much from mid-chest down. That's why he kept tugging at his lower belly. He must've thought it was his shirt, because he had no feeling there. At some point, near the end, it seems that the guy who leaned over told him that he was cut in half. that's when the vic attempts to lean up to see. He sort of peters out after that. I'm surprised he was able to continue breathing for as long as he did! |
