I doubt it had much to do with "sexual harassment".

Asking for sex/nudes/whatever in exchange for a good grade is...nothing really. If someone does that, you tell them to fuck off, file a complaint and that's it.

You must already be mentally messed up if that is what pushes you over, and most likely, she would have offed herself after failing exams or something like that, even without any harassment.

They should look into all other aspects of her life too, home life( maybe domestic abuse and violence ) school bullying perhaps, other mental issues...who knows.

Hitting this particular wall is a depressingly common reason for suicide among young women in India. It's also not uncommon that their final message on paper or online before taking their lives is something akin to, "I have no way out anymore. I hope that me making this choice will bring attention to other girls in my same situation."

The south Asian subcontinent has some of the most egregious cultural abuses of women in the entire world. I read a dozen cases every single day like this. Universities don't care, cops don't care, judges don't care, clergy don't care. No one fucking cares. Half the time, they report a rape and they wind up getting killed for it. By the family of the accused, by their own family, or by some random predator who reads about it in the news and decides she's an easy mark who likes getting raped.

There's no escaping it for many of them. They're just trapped in an endless cycle of institutional abuse, familial abuse, spousal abuse, professional abuse...it goes round and round and round until they finally just decide to accept it or die.

They either kill themselves or they try to find a new life, in which case their husbands kill them or their families kill them for disrespecting them.

So fucking easy for little white boys in the West to throw bullshit and judgement and jokes about this type of shit. You have never and very likely WILL never experience even a fraction of the inescapable abuse that many girls in India have already grown sick to death of before they're even 18. You have no frame of reference. You have no perspective on the endemic problem's pervasiveness in every corner of a culture. Despite seeing it played out weekly if not daily on this very website.

After almost 20 years on this site, it somehow never fails to surprise me, seeing the braindead, lazy culture of stupidity inherent in a significant number of the members here. You fuckers are here every single day watching these videos, looking at these photos, reading these cases...and you still sit there with one thumb up your ass and the other in your ear, "Why didn't the bitch just leave?"
