It actually happens a lot here in Houston. So much that gun ranges will NOT RENT you a firearm if you do not bring one yourself or come alone.
Hmm, never though about that being the easiest way to get a gun, thanks

Yeah, had a one that blew her brains next to me at this range in Pasadena. Bad part was the fact I did not know it due to the way the stalls were set up. People only noticed when the poll of blood got larger.https://www.chron.com/news/houston-t...de-1781790.php

Re: Chinese Man Shoots Himself in the Head at Cambodian shooting range

People that are determined to kill themselves generally don't care about the others who suffer. That's why it's a coward way out.
Its literally a disease of the mind lmao, you expect them to think normally? Tard

Re: Chinese Man Shoots Himself in the Head at Cambodian shooting range

People that are determined to kill themselves generally don't care about the others who suffer. That's why it's a coward way out.
Suicide is neither a cowardly act nor a brave act. It's a cry of a person in distress. It's a form of communication that says, ‘I am helpless and I don't know how to cope with helplessness’.

When a country is being attacked by a foreign enemy force; cowardice would be someone who's passive, neither defending his country or his people and commits treason or suicide instead, while his countrymen and women march on to fight.

People that are determined to kill themselves are generally mentally ill. The mental illness often cited as a contributing factor is depression. Depression is both a brain disorder and a state of mind. The brain is unique; it is the only organ whose function we consciously experience because the brain is the organ of the mind. Much like other physical disorders, it requires treatment and counselling, and cannot simply be wished away.

Wanting to die goes hand in hand with that illness. It is a symptom of severe depression, not a character failing or moral flaw. Nor is it, truly, a desire to die so much as a fervent wish to end one's extreme unendurable mental suffering.

Depression distorts and stains every aspect of yourself and the world around you and rips away at everything that is happy and beautiful, as though the façade of joy has been removed from everything you once held dear. It's like having a fever in your soul. It's like what the end of the world tastes like.

Depression is cruel. There are no fevers, no rashes, no blood tests to send people scurrying in concern. Just the slow erosion of the self, as insidious as any cancer. And, like cancer, it is essentially a solitary experience. A room in hell with only your name on the door.

It takes an extraordinary amount of strength just to exist in the midst of a depression.

Some battles are harder than others. Sometimes, after so many prior battles, there just aren’t enough reserves of energy to transform strength and courage into action. Sometimes, one is just overwhelmed by the enemy. In physical battles, we celebrate the bravery of the soldier who falls. The bravery of the psychological warrior is no less.

But many other suicides also happen impulsively in moments of crisis with a breakdown in the ability to deal with life stresses, such as financial problems, relationship break-up or chronic pain and illness.

In addition, experiencing conflict, disaster, violence, abuse, or loss and a sense of isolation are strongly associated with suicidal behaviour. Suicide rates are also high amongst vulnerable groups who experience discrimination, such as refugees and migrants; indigenous peoples; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex (LGBTI) persons; and prisoners. By far the strongest risk factor for suicide is a previous suicide attempt.

Compassion is also real. A depressed person may cling desperately to it until they are out of the woods and they may remember your compassion for the rest of their lives as a force greater than their depression.

Re: Chinese Man Shoots Himself in the Head at Cambodian shooting range

The thing is, when you die, you don't exist, so it doesn't matter if you are a coward or not. You are dead. So it's irrelevant.
its relevant to the people still living though so i think thats the wrong way to look at things. not everybody is just a lone soul floating through the world with no attachment to others. in fact i would argue that the majority of people have at least one person who counts on them for something, or at least has someone who cares about there well being in some capacity... right? in fact if the dead person doesnt "exist" and cant feel anything, why do the people commenting that suicides are selfish get negative responses from the community? i'd argue who cares about mildly disrespecting someone who suicides themselves because they cant be upset about it anyway, and if you are upset by that, then it kind of proves the point, and you should be mad at the person who did it and not the person who happened to point out it was a selfish act at best, amirite?
