Heartbreaking. I HATE iron security bars just for that reason. Keep a loaded gun in the house if you feel unsafe. They should be outlawed. Especially, in apt, condo's or hotels.

for well over 99% of the time, the bars are the only things keeping you safe in 3rd world countries - unfortunately, sometimes they can seal your fate, but without them, there is a good chance your fate would have been sealed long before

Ya 100% agree but then his instinct would have already had him run the other way and it was probably hopeless who know? What an absolute cunt of a way to go though. Very very sad :(
