It wasn't life threatening until everyone there decided NOT to put a little pressure on the leak. Totally preventable. People have lost limbs and survived just by tourniquet or pressure.

She didn't live because she thought it better to cradle the wound and watch all her life juice spray out.
Thank you, somebody needed to say this eventually in one of the countless videos where some pressure could have prevented death. I am surprised that it is 2023 and people still haven't learned this easy first aid topic.

Might be Uganda, where a form of broken english is used in many of the areas. During the despotic reign of Idi Amin, 80% of Ugandans still used witch doctors even though licensed medical doctors were available, many from the West. Wouldn't be surprised if these women literally didn't know what a tourniquet was, or the concept of applying pressure to a wound to prevent bleeding out
