Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
We need to point out to readers of DR who doesnt have enough sense that one have to prioritize whats important. Between make up vs fleeing for your life, in this situation it should be an obvious answer but unfortunately she didnt make the same conclusion. The commenter didnt have to be there. If you were paying attention to the vid, the man filming said so himself he visited her to warn her but she said she had to put her make up on. So your arguement is irrelevant. Body dysmorphia is your assumption. We dont know if the woman that died suffered such illness. So dont come into conclusion that we should sympathize with her decision despite two warnings. One from CalFire and another from a neighbor. We learn from other peoples mistake but downplaying it and sympathizing with the victim who made bad decision is just plain stupid. My thoughts and prayers goes to her but i wont be teaching my kids to make bad decision when it comes to critical situations and every second counts. Charles Darwin made it a point that natural selection is the fruit of those who are best adapted. That person you know who fled survived because she recognized that her life is more important than her looks and she adapted by wearing a mask. |

Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
This entire event is truely heartbreaking. I have been going to Paradise since I was a kid. Always liked it there. Have family, friends, and an old boss from when I worked in Alaska lose everything. Now there are over 1,000 people missing, and last I heard, 77 Fatalities. Sadly I know there are more deaths then what they are telling us

Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
It is very sad the number has now risen to 79 with 699 still missing. The PG&E company is getting their ass' sued. Apparently officials are starting to prove one of the fires was cause my a spark from their lightpole they didn't cut power to like they were supposed to. The company already said they don't have enough insurance to cover damages. |
