Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
This isn't meant to be in poor taste, but more so to bring awareness to the importance of MANDATORY EVACUATION orders. To put in perspective - within the course of four hours, due to the high winds and low humidity in the area - this fire devastated a entire town of 27000 people. The town only had about four roads into/out of it - and keep in mind that blocking out a road for outgoing traffic meant one less artery for emergency vehicles to get into the town. This video shows the burnt skeletons of at least five people who were found presumably fleeing in their burnt vehicles. One skeleton is found outside of a car - I can only imagine that it was someone who tried to flee their melting/burning car and didn't make it far. From a physiological perspective - it is more likely that these individuals lost consciousness from smoke inhalation - and thus did not suffer being burned alive - however, I imagine their last few moments alive were traumatic at the sensation of the heat around you and your car burning, in addition to what the environment might have looked like. RIP to those affected. To everyone else: please take evacuation orders more seriously. |

Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
Paradise is 20 miles from where I live and work. I know five people ( close too ) that lost everything and one of them still can't find their parents. I know exactly where this was filmed and this guy was one lucky s.o.b to get down to that Creek and LIVE through the fire jumping the canyon. I took this pic yesterday and you cannot even see the fucking mountains. The tree that's close to the middle of the pic is the direction paradise is. Chico would be to the left of the tree. |

Mr. Shlaapu, I am truly greatful that you are safe and didn't get caught up in all that! While we spend so much time ooohing and awing over dead people, we tend to forget that the next pictures or videos we see could be of our DR brothers or sisters. Please folks, take care of yourselves and never, never think, "It'll never happen to me..." |
