Re: Brazil - Bride Killed in Helicopter Crash on Way to Wedding.
I think it got caught in a massive downdraft tipping the helicopter and then the pilot gave it a big pull on the collective pitch to recover but the engine wasn't powerful enough (maybe some carburetor ice) and the rotor lost rpm causing the siren sound? Then they just fell like a ball of metal to earth. I don't think they hit a branch because the rotors are caught on camera as being intact while the helicopter fell. Loss of tail rotor would have caused a spin which is possible though. Such an avoidable accident |

Looks like she caught a few gees in that expression of terrible fear in her face. Some sort of intense centrifugal effect as the copter spiraled down? It's chilling to see this, knowing it's the last few seconds of her life, and her knowing it too.

Re: Brazil - Bride Killed in Helicopter Crash on Way to Wedding.
I translated the portuguese subtitles of the 9 person search and rescue group: "There she is! I found her first!" "Poke 'er 'fore she gets cold!" "...but her head is missing!" "no problem, help me get her pants off!" |
