shit not good I can only think how manny pounds of pressure he was hit with and on that rope worker should have never been in this type of situation to begin with

Looks like they were trying to transfer load to that smaller winch wire coming out from the lower left of the picture. The big white rope either snapped, or someone released the load on it, and the strain was instantly fired cross to the other side. |

There is so much potential energy stored in those nylon ropes... Artificial snapback will chop legs off!!!!!!! The guy that was cutting that shit was wrong every which way but loose.. Thats why these training videos are made to teach deck hands on the proper handling of lines, especially at rough seas |
