The mistake she made was testifying against a violent well-armed gang and not moving to another city, in that sense she did ask for retribution. The cops should have insisted she move or given her protection.

I'm not sure what OP thinks this guy was supposed to do. Getting caught in a car in an ambush is a death sentence. He did the right thing abandoning the vehicle because if he stayed his death would have been a foregone conclusion. Or maybe OP thinks he should have just died with his wife?

Is it just me or does the guy look like hes limping? Possibly had already been shot. I dont understand what hes expected to do to not be called a coward?? If a female did this her "bravery" wouldnt even be in discussion? I dont get it?

He was hit in the lower leg during the first phase of the attack when he got out of the pick-up and then went back in but was already limping with a broken tibia, from there he drove off to the place where the truck was finally left and he went into the restaurant.
