I wonder if this was fatal. His femoral artery might have been destroyed in the blast, not to mention much blood loss elsewhere. Anyone have the story behind this? It seems worse than a simple loss of a hand. I think I've watched this video more than any other here, beating my other fav of the guy rock climbing without any gear and tumbling about 30-40 meters to the hard earth below. That never gets old.
