The cop was NOT using a 'match' gun.

As I mentioned, I have two Beretta 92's that have been COMBAT optimized - NOT 'match' - that are fully capable of performing just as the weapon in the video.

NOT a big deal.





The cop was using proper 'COMBAT' techniques including rate/volume of fire to suppress and overwhelm...in order to close on and kill his target.

It worked great.



Below you will see 2 photos.

One pistol is a 'match' pistol and the other is in a COMBAT configuration.

I wonder if the 'geniuses' here can spot the difference.

You are correct, other than the fully auto weapon in the USA. But in the USA, lawsuits have become the national flower. So let me give an example.

I believe the stock Glock19 has a 5lb trigger. Lets say you modify it for a 3lb trigger. Now when the adrenaline hits, your brain is in flight or fight mode, you start pulling the trigger. It's much easier to get rounds off; mentally are you keeping track or just unloading?

We were also taught, you are not shooting to kill, but shooting to incapacitate the threat. So now it is six months or a year later, you are sitting in a court room because the family filed a wrongful death suit against you. Legally you were cleared right away, but this is civil now. Some lawyer is going to ask why you couldn't incapacitate the "victim" with only 1 or 2 shots, why did you purposely kill him with 15? In modifying your gun prior to the incident, were you planning on being a vigilante? Were you meaning to become the judge and executioner? What was your purpose for modifying your weapon beyond what area law enforcement uses, or the manufacturers standards?

So will the jury of your "peers" (and delicate snowflakes) going to say you were a well meaning person put into a bad situation, or you were a menace to society?

No matter what you do...lawyers will mindf*ck the situation in order to get what they want.


Use of Deadly Force is a legal minefield no matter what you do or don't do.

Optimizing your pistol to your own preferences will not guarantee an unfavorable legal decision.

Leaving your pistol in a non-optimum factory/stock configuration will not guarantee a favorable legal decision.

Lawyers have an endless number of tricks they use to go after any money source they can find that they think is vulnerable to their exploitation.




This is how the police were put into legal jeopardy when they did their jobs and acted properly.

So many of them slacked off, arrest rates fell and crime started soaring.

Now, police face further legal/financial jeopardy because they backed off.


A classic "Damned if you do. Damned if you don't." scenario.

If he was innocent, he would have complied and instantly told the police he was carrying and the location of the weapon on his person, not pretend he wasnt doing anything, then say the words "i dont got nothin man" when they told him to get his hands out of his pocket, and foolishly revealing the pistol on his waistline that didnt even have a holster...
