I'm not an expert but I always thought the body could cope with more blood loss over a longer time, than a lesser blood less that is more or less immediate?

Re: Bikers Throat Sliced by Kite String

Wow. Kite string. Who knew?
I know in Afghanistan, "kite fights" are a common pastime for kids and young adults. They make their own kites, but the lines are strong, braided and impregnated with wax, glue and either glass dust, fine metal powder or some other type of abrasive. This highly abrasive, strong line is know as tar in Afghanistan and manja elsewhere. Traditionally, cotton string is used, however, monofilament polymers like nylon are being used more and more and are significantly more dangerous even without it being the manja type. The objective is to cut the string of another kite, it's pretty interesting to watch

It was banned during the taliban rule as "unislamic" whatever the fuck that means, cunts just don't have any sense of fun, I guess.

Anyway some even more unscrupulous fliers will use heavy monofilament line or even thin steel or aluminium wire, with some pretty huge kites. I'm not surprised a couple of people get rekt by that every now and again.

I bet the bike's owner is pissed! He brought his bike in for service, and now it's wrecked.

Re: Bikers Throat Sliced by Kite String

Surakarta, Indonesia.

Y.B.S., aged 21, a resident of Sumber Village, was killed when a kite string stuck on a pole became entangled around his neck while riding a Kawasaki motorbike. An eyewitness of the accident said the victim was a mechanic, and was testing out a customer's bike that had just been serviced. 'Y' was rushed to the hospital but was dead on arrival.
