Biker Destroyed
Biker Destroyed In the Chelyabinsk region, a biker crashed into a dump truck and his head was torn off. The driver of a heavy-duty truck, while turning left at an unregulated intersection, did not let an oncoming motorcycle pass, which caused a collision. The 42-year-old man died at the scene.  |

The trucker did have his turn signal indicator on, the onus would be upon the biker to note that, and be on guard that the trucker could be turning into that side road.

Blinker on but the trucker in basically on the line and he has to yield not the biker. He’s at fault here not the biker. (Biker obviously wasn’t paying attention but that still doesn’t make him wholly responsible.)

Zero protection on a motorcycle. He hit the truck at speed with little or no time to react.  Truck turning left needs to yield but a bike traveling at 70 mph coming at you … He probably didn’t even see him coming. I’ve got that bumper sticker so locked in my mind. I’ve seen it hundreds of times. “Check twice for motorcycles.” |

Biker may or may not have been speeding, but in any event, the truck driver is at fault for not yielding to oncoming traffic.
