That's not true about maggots only eating dead flesh. The can also infect living tissue if it's wet or infected. My (living) dog had maggots eating away at the back of his thighs. I saw some fall away and thought they were intestinal worms, but the vet shaved him, and there were maggots.

I agree with one of the other viewers..this is NOT medical. This is a case of severe and gross Myiasis / and or Flystrike..medical Maggot Therapy is never left open that way,,it is done under sterile controlled conditions,,NOT left for the maggots to crawl about freely,.as in the words of one of the other viewers "Yes, the imaginations around here are spectacular, but so are the delusions" .
