Do you want the job!? I sure as hell don’t. I wouldn’t want that level of responsibility in my job description. It was a good call to shoot the guy regardless of anything else. He had a gun, visible, was high as a kite and who knows anything else!?! He could have been a pistol marksman you don’t know that neither did the officer. Sure, there’s lots of bad police and endless criminals. In that situation where anything can happen I’d rather shoot the perp than get shot by him… wouldn’t you!?!    |

To even the dumbest of individual, the sound of a shotgun racking and the site of a choke stuffed in your face is pretty universally recognized as "Don't do anything stupid, even if you don't understand English, that's your problem for crossing the border". As someone who moved to America the legal way, at much expense to myself financially and emotionally, nothing pisses me off more than cops and others doing the right thing, being blamed for fuckwits like this guy doing the wrong thing.... Why he hell should any cop be required to know any other language than English, that's our official language..... besides, at the rate this place is going, they'd be better off learning Mandarin. If he was legal, he understood English, we're an English speaking country, granted you wouldn't know if it you ever called any business and heard "press 1 for Spanish", at that age if he didn't understand English, he was a wet back and shouldn't have been here to begin with so no sympathy and no loss. Thank a cop today, proudly doing what the Resident of the United States refuses to let INS/BP do every day..... making our streets safer for those who DESERVE to be here. |

Best case scenario is that he got popped for possession of a controlled substance while out while high and that gun would have gotten him an automatic extra 5 years mandatory minimum sentencing so the guy was just a darwin case anyways so won't be missed.... the average intelligence level of that town went up a fraction of a percent that night after this occurred.
