Hyderabad, too, reported cases of electrocution during Ganesh idol immersion celebrations. Two persons, an advocate and an engineering student, were electrocuted at Reddy Colony.

The mishap occurred when they accidentally came in contact with an overhead live electric wire while standing on a trolley carrying the idol. etc. etc.

I think the right theory is your last point
But hey, see the bright side, they keep giving us a lot of good content here on DR.
Yeah, they have a lot of work to do (better phones and stay steady) but they are moving forward step by step

I think Musk should move all Tesla production to India—the Indians clearly have more than earned it.

And give 'em free Teslas too, so they can get to play with the batteries, during the rainy season.

Bring over a few Tesla coils too, for good measure, and connect them to the trains' overhead metal swings.

Hopefully, these much needed measures will serve to slake the innate Indian thirst for vibrant and personalized electrification.
