Re: Adolescent Jumps in Swimming Pool and then Realized He Can't Swim and Drowns
the mathematical odds of drowning with all the kids around, being that close to the side of the pool, having that inner tube close by, and the fact that no adults were around to see it!!! FFS!!!

I was hoping the big payoff was going to be the still water for a few moments then the view of his back floating but... No dice : (

Re: Adolescent Jumps in Swimming Pool and then Realized He Can't Swim and Drowns
Terrifying, isn't it? I was on vacation 2 years ago in Florida and a 40 year old male got caught in a rip current and taken 50 yards from the beach. He panicked...same result...It get's worse...A passerby watched as the whole scene unfolded, went in the water to save him. Both men drowned in front of us and not a fucking thing we could have done...I have a very healthy fear of drowning to death now. Completely helpless too...

Re: Adolescent Jumps in Swimming Pool and then Realized He Can't Swim and Drowns
When I was in 2nd grade I tried that stupid shit - jumping in the deep end not knowing how to swim. Did bc my friends were there on that end. Luckily there was a lifeguard to get me from the bottom of the pool. Next week swim lessons started

What's bizarre about people who drown like that is if they act like corpses and lay on their back, they will float and pretty much cannot drown.
