Re: Adolescent Jumps in Swimming Pool and then Realized He Can't Swim and Drowns
This is true. Got my neck tangled in a pool divider rope in a public swimming pool as I was playing around and diving with a friend. Didn't really realize that I was in danger of drowning (as it would have prevented me from diving up again). Just calmly untangled it from my neck and when I was back on the surface again, an alert lifeguard was already next to the pool asking for confirmation of what he saw and since then that particular divider rope got removed from the swimming pool forever. |

You can't "call for help" when you're trying your best just to get air into your lungs.
