7 Football Fans Killed in a Horrific Traffic Accident, Romania

At least seven PAOK (football club from Greece) fans today were killed in a serious traffic accident that occurred in Romania. The tragic event took place near Timișoara, about 80 kilometers from the Serbian border, according to Romanian media.
It is also reported that several people were injured, and more information is awaited about this horrific incident that has shaken the region. PAOK players are scheduled to play against Lyon in France on Thursday at 9 p.m., so the fans were likely traveling to that distant away match.
In the shocking footage, it can be seen that the vehicle carrying the fans overtook another car on the left side. It then entered the opposite lane, resulting in a violent collision with a truck. The vehicle with the fans was shattered by the force of the impact. Police and emergency services quickly arrived at the scene.
It remains unclear what happened inside the vehicle before the accident, why such driving occurred, and whether the passengers were under the influence of prohibited substances.
