This happened on Sept 19 in Pattaya, Thailand.
A dad who is a traffic police was frustrated with his 21 years old son for constantly playing video games. The dad began yelling at the son, took out his 9mm and place it on the front of his son. The son grabbed it and shot himself in the head. The mom then took the gun and threw it on the front of their house. A couple of teenagers took the gun which was later tracked down by the police.
The son is currently in a coma and probably won't live thats why I am putting the video in the death section.
I really don't understand the purpose of the dad pulling out his gun at the first place.. And did the dad smacked his son's head after he shot himself?

As far as the whole hissy-fit thing by the parents at the end, have you guys never seen videos of various Asians publicly mourning? It's a common thing to be overly dramatic about it. It looks ridiculous to Westerners but in their culture, basically the louder and more obnoxious you are, the more "sincere" it is. Trust me... I dealt with that shit for years before leaving.

Here's a great example. Just skip to a random spot in the middle.
