Re: 20 Yo Drunk Guy Drowns After He Tries to Step from One Party Boat to Another
Jesus christ. Nat 0 for a survival check. Didnt even try to stay up. When water fills your lungs you immedetly lose consciousness. Looks like he slipped in and took a huge mouthful and just sank. |

Depending on how long he has been in the water for and the temperature of the water, bloating and decomposition can have set in. Trying to pull him out of the water can slough the skin off, better to tow him slowly alongside the boat in the water, less pressure on the corpse because the water supports some of the weight. When you get to the dock or a slipway you can get a stretcher underneath him, haul him out that way. No one wants dead guy juices in their boat

Re: 20 Yo Drunk Guy Drowns After He Tries to Step from One Party Boat to Another
I did my part in recovering drowned's from the water, and depending o. Temperature it takes a day till months before they float up They took him out the next day, might be afloat by then. That water seems to be very warm.. But No-Way he decomposed soo fast that within 24h his skinn lets go when picking up. Although a 'fresh' body can also release some nasty juices .. But the ones that pop up after weeks or months are the worst! And not only for the smell.. I had a colleage who wanted to recover by pulling on a leg, but i saw the skinn comming appart instantly and didnt wanted to "scoop up" all the rotting bodyparts that might break of so i got a huge blanked, pulled it underneath the 'floater' and thus creating an improvised stretcher. Worked very well |

"Hey, Jose, where did you go? Jose? Anybody seen Jose?" "Jose took a break - he's feeding the fish." |
