A 20-year-old Mexican guy drowned after falling from one of the colorful trajinera boats that cross the canals of the tourist Xochimilco, south of Mexico City.

Together with several friends, he celebrated a birthday. Recklessness and alcohol were decisive for the death of the young man, who tried to move from one trajinera to another but fell into the water and could not get out.

No one of his companions or the boat drivers knew how to do anything to help him. Unfortunately he drowned.

The body was taken out at dawn.

The young man, identified as J.M.R.R., fell from the trajinera in apparent drunkenness, died drowning and his body was recovered a day after the tragedy by rescue and Civil Protection people.
