20 Yo Drunk Guy Drowns After He Tries to Step from One Party Boat to Another
A 20-year-old Mexican guy drowned after falling from one of the colorful trajinera boats that cross the canals of the tourist Xochimilco, south of Mexico City. Together with several friends, he celebrated a birthday. Recklessness and alcohol were decisive for the death of the young man, who tried to move from one trajinera to another but fell into the water and could not get out. No one of his companions or the boat drivers knew how to do anything to help him. Unfortunately he drowned. The body was taken out at dawn. On Fridays and weekends, from early hour, it is common to see trajineras full of people who come to Xochimilco to celebrate, enjoying music and alcohol without limits. The young man, identified as J.M.R.R., fell from the trajinera in apparent drunkenness, died drowning and his body was recovered a day after the tragedy by rescue and Civil Protection people.  Xochimilco is a must for Mexican and foreign tourists, and in its trajineras it is customary to celebrate with typical food, in addition to the sale of alcohol, tolerated by local authorities. Anyone can climb and the ride is safe, although lifejackets are not mandatory.  In the place movies, TV shows and music videos have been recorded that have increased the fame of the place.It is not the first time that someone dies at the scene after the combination of alcohol and imprudence and after the death of the young man, the authorities analyze prohibiting - again - the sale and consumption of alcohol on board ships that cross the world famous Xochimilco. |

Probably NOT a good idea for any drunks to jump into the water and attempt a rescue. No one wanted to get wet from that nasty dirty water, anyways. In this case, "no no no" was excellent advise and everyone followed it..
