it's a split second decision, and the cop did shoot only ones... unfortunately for the kid one was enough.
it might also be unjustified and against regulations...

the only thing I can say for certain is that it's stupid to run from cops... comply and fight them in court later, and take responsibility if you did something wrong.

You can’t stop a fleeing suspect with a bullet to the head just because they ‘might’ do something bad. There needs to be some nexus to violence (i.e. they are wanted for a violent felony already, used violence to escape, threatened violence, history of violence likely to continue, etc.) Force used must be reasonable and proportional given the circumstances. This was not. With the cop’s comment beforehand it’s premeditated murder.

P.S. The update that the ‘kid’ was already a wanted felon fugitive (for previously fleeing) does mitigate somewhat (though the level of danger to the public from that alone, absent reckless driving etc, can be low.) The cop still might be going to prison.

I had no idea he shot him in the head, and that is no doubt excessive force and the cop should be held accountable for it.
All I was trying to say was that it is easy to judge in retrospect and we might be missing details (just like I didn't know it was a head shot when writing my comment

Nahel X had a crusade on traffic felonies, he had already refused to stop previously , so it is reasonable that these motorcycle cops were alerted and ordered to look out this felon. motorcycle cops tend to be more streetwise, some more 'that is not done on my watch'; N seems to have said that he'd drive over the cops. For many bikers that is a red line.
