Re: Woman Died After Eating White Balut
So it is basically a pimped up version of eating sprouts. Allowing the embryo to develop turns the nutrients of the seed into a more beneficial form. Incidentally, careless sprouting is also known to harbor danger from rampant microbial infections. But nothing as disgusting and severe as that. Whatever microbe was in that egg infested her entire body. She was probably in tremendous pain, so much so that the pain from that "autopsy grade" surgery she got in an effort to save her would have seemed like a walk in the park in comparison. |

Re: Woman Died After Eating White Balut
Those primary wounds are not consistent with bacterial infection but rather chemical burns. Something ate her from the inside out and opened her to a nosocomial streptococcal infection. Note the presence of granulomar tissue in the cervical wound, indicating healing from the initial insult. The abdominal wounds are 3 to 4 days more recent. Someone spiked her egg. She almost made it. Then some idiot nurse didn't wash her hands.

Re: Woman Died After Eating White Balut
She doesn't look like a high profile victim. There is no present motive for anyone to spike her egg. It was most likely an old egg with compromised shell integrity that got infested by some nasty bacteria. Heck, a woman can die from keeping a tampon in overnight. Look it up, it is called "Toxic Shock Syndrome", known to lead to multiple organ failures, gangrene and necrosis. Exotic foods from 3rd world filthy street vendor. What could go wrong... |
