Re: What Smoking Does, This is Sad :(
I have severe asthma, bouts of bronchitis and am hoping I'll be lucky enough to escape COPD (my mom has it) thanks to my dad's two pack a day habit. He smoked in a closed up house the entire time my mother was pregnant with me, used to keep the car closed up when he smoked... |

I've seen so many patients die from lung cancer. There really is nothing worse than the panic that comes over their face when they can't breathe. It's even worse when the family thinks that they will beat it when the person is basically a living skeleton. :(

Fuck cigarettes I'm glad I quit years ago but fuck cancer so much more. We need to find a cure for this stupid shit a real cure. Anyone's at risk for lung cancer I know someone who had it and they never smoked a cigarette in their life.

The toxic chemicals in and expelled by automobiles are more deadly than cigarettes. People who work near roadways get a LOT of respiratory and throat cancers.

Re: What Smoking Does, This is Sad :(
That poor man (+ his family), what an utter waste of a young life. I know how bloody difficult it is to quit smoking. I tried my first cigarette at only 8 years old. I started smoking at 12 years old + tried so many times to quit, but shitty situations were made easier to cope with by having a ***. I remember one time when I tried to quit when I was about 20 year old, it was hell + I sat on my bedroom floor repeatedly banging my head into the wall as my body was craving a cigarette + it was driving me nuts. I managed to finally quit just before I turned 24 years old (having spent half my young life as a smoker). I then started smoking again just before I turned 26 years old. I then gave up a little over a year later. I have been smoke free since 25th October 2010. I still crave a cigarette now + again, but I will never start again + am still amazed that I've managed to stop. It's nearly 8 years since I quit + I'm so happy that I did. Smoking is a terrible habit that is so hard to quit. I never thought I'd be a non-smoker. |
