The prison system especially in California are treating prisoners much better because they were getting sued up the ass. In some prisons they now offer drug treatment. Methadone/Suboxone Clinics. Studies have shown that addicts who have opiate addictions that are treated tend to stay out of prison when they are released. All States should do this. Most men and women locked up for drugs should be treated. The same goes for having cancer. If the prison does nothing and the family finds out (they always find out) the State gets sued big time. Convicts except for rapists and pedophiles are human and should be treated for diseases.
