Streptococcus Pyrogenes and Necrotised Tissue
Hey guys, First post, thought I’d share. I have no idea how this happened but all I can say I got lucky. My partner had a flu and then I got sick two days later. Throat and glands blew up up my middle finger went purple, then my hand looked like an eggplant. All happened within 24 hours. Straight to ED and 3 weeks in hospital. 4 surgeries. Pretty gnarly. Can’t remember the first 4 days, heart rate at 125, blood pressure 180/110, blood to city 300 (meant to be around 150). Grateful nothing got chopped off or even worse. |

You looked like a toaster pastry in some of those shots. Hope your healing is progressing nicely.

Re: Streptococcus Pyrogenes and Necrotised Tissue
My son got a chest infection and went to hospital. After he got better we were playing around and he slightly scratched me on my middle finger. It’s the only link I have. The docs and surgeons were also a bit baffled.

Re: Streptococcus Pyrogenes and Necrotised Tissue
Not a stupid question mate. They had to make the four cuts to reduce the swelling and remove the necrotic tissue
