Re: Spinal Fusion
Tell me about it......I'm only 34!! Sad part is, I had my spinal surgery when I was 27!! My surgery was for a rare congenital birth defect of the spine that caused nerve damage to my sciatic nerve. The actual surgery that I had is called a "TLIF" (just type that in if you want to Google it) which stands for "Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion". You guys that frequent the medical section know that I usually explain the med stuff, but I just don't feel like it tonight. **SORRY!!** Like I said, just look up "TLIF" and it will explain the whole procedure.......and I think there is a video on YouTube of the procedure (not mine, someone else). Good night, everyone! |

Re: Spinal Fusion
Ouch... and that same part of the back is where I have my pain at.. I had a knee arthroscopy done last year.. That wound drainage reservoir they have on/in him? I had the SAME EXACT thing in my knee... when they pop the tab open and drain that...all the blood clots etc in there? Gross stuff... (It's spring loaded, pulls itself apart to work as suction on the tube that is going into/under his skin to drain fluids.) Hope he heals up and recovers well. |
