For us body modifiers, it's simple: it's just a way of changing appearance. You change your clothes...I change my clothes AND the appearance of my ears, nose, tongue, neck, and foot.

Normally I look just like everyone else, but when people see my right ear...they just stare. I love it.

I don't know what attracts me to piercings, I can't really explain it. It's just an extreme way of decorating yourself, like with bracelets or rings. But for tattoos I really can't figure out why I have them. They were both done on impulse and I don't regret them.

So Malekith, you already know this, but I'll say it anyway: ignore the haters. Everybody is unique, but we are just really unique, and I don't see why that's a big deal for people.

It gets much more extreme than this, guys. My piercer and her boyfriend frequently do suspension sessions. THAT is hardcore.

They do act like an anchor. The plate underneath the skin is aprox 15mm long with holes in it so the skin grows back through again to hold in into place.
