A few pics from when I had my subdermal implants and transdermals put in about 5 years ago. When I get back on my BME account I will post some pics of my tongue splitting.

It's just a body modification and aesthetic. Just as where people decorate and change their body on the exterior with tattoos and piercings some people change their appearance from the inside too.

Don't they hurt when someone touches your forehead or when you hit your arm? Do they stop you from doing certain activities?

They do hurt if I bang them hard. I had to have one in my arm removed a few years ago because I banged it in a fight. It grazed but because of the pressure on the dome it gradually pushed its way out and got infected. Will post a pic of that. As the stopping me doing certain activities I can't really do any contact sports. |

Was quite nasty really. The scar now in fairly small as a good job was done of the removal. There is quite a bit of scar tissue where my transdermals were removed though.

I'm all about changing appearance, but it sort of looks like you have large cysts in your arm, and I'd hate walking around with something that could be mistaken for a serious medical problem. But on the other hand it looks really cool, like you're a superhero or something. I have several dermal anchors and those are a bitch to heal. Even when they do heal they're easily disturbed, even from sleeping. So I can't imagine what this is like. If you want the arm implants removed, can they take them out the same way they put them in, or do they do it right on the surface? Thanks for sharing! |
