Yes, she is still alive and kicking (well as of friday when i got her xmas card)

She still cuts, smokes, abuses pills, doesn't eat, drinks alcohol and blood lets.

Personally i don't know why she isn't dead yet with the battering her poor body takes. But she isn't.

And (i seem to always be posting this) she is in Germany, where her diagnosis of borderline personality disorder is not a valid reason for her to be sectioned (and yes, i know this is ridiculous) no matter what she does. She has a surgeon who regulary stitches her up. She says he cares but i don't know why he hasn't questioned her diagnosis when she is bordering on death from her injuries.

She lives with her father. (and again he seems to be in complete denial about what she is doing)

And as for being an attention whore- maybe she is but i rather think that the injuries she inflicts on herself are a bit more serious than a few scratches on her wrist. I dont think anyone self harms to this extent just in order for other people to look (and be quite crass) at her injuries and thus get attention from random strangers. It's by far the most viewed thread on here, going into the millions.

Anyway, yeah..she is alive.

Thank you for the update, I often wonder about her.

I can't understand the hundreds of people abusing her when she is so clearly in deep, deep pain. I wish I could help her in some way.

I was diagnosed with BPD but luckily here in NZ it is a recognised illness and so I got help with it. I just wish she could have the same.

She definitely sutured her own wounds, but missing the arteries is not the main reason. Repeated cutting and building up of scar tissue has destroyed her circulatory system. The blood vessels heal smaller and smaller each time she cuts into them making blood loss less severe now. A normal person with one of her deep cuts would be bleeding exponentially more.

you're probably right. i sclerosed a lot of veins with all the cuts i made. towards the end i had to cut very deep in order to get the amount of blood i was looking for. i'm not cutting anymore. 38 weeks cut free now.
