I got this as a result of a medication, but they were able to get it under control fast. Broke out in these crazy blisters. Shitty as fuck!

And I don't know how I would have handled him being as sick as he was for such A long period of time. We had to decide to take him off of his ventilator. My heart goes out too this family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to comprehend what it's like to lose a child.

Just copy and paste this here from another Stevens-Johnson pic.

I took care of a 13 year old who had Stevens-Johnson syndrome. He'd gotten it from taking Lamictal for ADHD. I'd never heard of Lamictal being used for that and I don't even think Lamictal is supposed to be given to children. Anyway, his was blind. They'd sewn his eyelids about 3/4 of the way shut and we had to put eye drops in the 1/4 that was still open. He only lived a few months.

This was featured on Mystery Diagnosis, a girl was put on an anti-depressant and developed it pretty badly, but thankfully she pretty much healed almost completely. She's partially blind in one eye and does look like she's had burns to some parts of her body, but her outcome wasn't as horrid as it could have been.
