Re: School Students Accident, Indonesia
A junior high school student has died and two others are in critical condition after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a truck on Jl. Irian Jaya in Cikarang Barat, Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday morning. Cikarang Barat Police chief Comr. Hendrik Situmorang said the accident occurred when 14-year-old Haerul, driving the bike, turned back to speak to his friends, identified as Trisna Jody Setiawan and M. Erlangga, both 14 years old. “He looked back while the speed of the motorcycle was around 60 kilometers per hour,” Hendrik said, as quoted by tribunnews.com. The bike then turned into the path of a truck driven by 30-year-old Aditya Permana traveling at slow speed from the opposite direction, he added. “The motorcycle hit the front of the truck,” Hendrik said. He said Trisna died instantly of severe head injuries while his friends suffered face, arm and leg injuries. “The front of the motorcycle was smashed. The driver of the truck is now being questioned as a witness,” he said. Bekasi Police spokesperson Adj. Comr. Endang Longla said none of the students were wearing either helmets or protective jackets. |

Re: School Students Accident, Indonesia
I was there over the past couple weeks, I saw some families of 3, 4 or 5 all on a single scooter. Never saw any accidents though, some of the people there can drive the hell outta vehicles.

All of those people to stand is near blatantly taking pictures. I see a lot of pictures like this in Asia. They don't care, they will just stand there taking pictures without even trying to hide it one bit. Oh well... I'm looking, right?
