generally maggots will only be found on or in dead or dieing tissue and will only consume said material.in early medicine they were used to eat away dead tissue for cleaning up wounds that had gone gangrenous or septic.these are gross wounds though and obviously neglected conditions in the extreme .dont ya love gore  |
