My wife had all 3 of our boys with no medication at all by her choice.she squeezed my hand so hard during birth every time.she is proud she has done it that way and my hats off to her.

My girlfriend had our last baby without meds.. she was hurtin afterwards. She had a lot of hemorrhaging as well.
They'd come in every few hours after the baby was born for two days to push on her stomach to get her to pass blood clots.. was fucking gross..
But all in all it was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. (my child being born, not witnessing clumps of congealed blood on the floor from between bathroom trips. )

She took that one easy.. was like ..ok.. sending us home.. close call... getting to the car - oops.. we're going back in.. in the maternity ward 5 minutes and my daughter's head pops out.

My hats off to the ladies. Some try to say gettin kicked in the nuts hurts worse than child birth.. pfft. I'd take 50 nut shots over one childbirth.

(The doc was frickin weird too.. he was late for the delivery/left due to our "false alarm".. he returns finally to deliver the placenta.. puts it in a steel bowl, sits it on the bed table you would normally eat off of, smiles and has a 20 minute convo with us and the placenta sitting right fucking there. grin the entire time. )

Good question!

I think it's born into normal women, especially those with children. We have to remain calm when they are severely injured.

Also, we menstruate beginning in our preteens and teens and have to deal with blood every month.

Personally, I cannot tolerate eye things.
