My Daddy's Cancer
I have posted before (in 2015) about my dad and him having to have his eye removed bc of cancer in 2014. He passed away Oct 17, 2015. Ive debated on whether to post these pics or not, but my mom gave me the go ahead. Daddy was originally diagnosed with cancer in 2009 I believe it was. It was in his nasal cavity. 2009- nasal cavity, did chemo and no more active cancer cells 2010- nasal cavity, did chemo, radiation & surgery to remove the tumor. 2011- behind his right eye but too far back to be operated on. did chemo and radiation cancer free for a few years 2014- tumor behind his right eye, did surgery to remove his right eye and some of his cheekbone and did chemo. June 17, 2015- Tumor right on the line of his brainstem and carotid artery. By the end of the month he was blind and deaf. Dr's gave him 2-3 months left. Oct 17, 2015- Daddy died. Here are some of the pics I posted before from after his surgery (he looked like Sloth from the goonies), when bone was poking thru his eye, and his eye never healed and stayed shut. The day he passed, I could see the back of his skull thru his eye socket. No I don't have pics of that. I was too distraught. Also some pics of his eye socket and a pic of him before cancer got ahold of him. |

Re: My Daddy's Cancer
Thank you for sharing that. It must have a terrible thing to go thru for all concerned. I've never known anyone who went thru this, so I can only imagine. Your post is certainly illuminating.

Re: My Daddy's Cancer
Sucks to die like that. The important part is that you were there for him when he needed you and thats what counts. Thanks for sharing.
