Re: Ptosis (Eyelid Drooping) Video & Pics

Nope.. I'd be blind... Better you than me...

Can't deal with anything pointy near/at my eyes.. maybe if they'd knock you (or in this case, me) out for it.. I'd be jumping all over the place, cringing at the thought now..

As for stitches popping, luckily that happened while you were there and under supervision. (and during the removal/popping)
They don't like to re-suture wounds, leave them to heal from the inside out. (Like my elbow and my appendix surgery.)
For the first surgery, they had to give me something for anxiety, beforehand, as I was freaked out by having sharp things near my eyes. For the second surgery, I took some antianxiety meds before I got to the hospital. Plus, after all that happened during and after the first surgery, it wasn't as bad. Was even able to get stitched up w/o any local anesthesia to the area.

Random Kelly thought......are they playing Chopin as the background music? Sure sounds like Chopin's, Nocturne.

Like I said about my experience with sutures popping. this was me after laproscopic appendectomy.

I had a similar experience with my csection surgery. The dr pulled the incision open a few days later, sans any painkillers, because the incision was infected and oozing a lot of fluid. Had to get gauze strips put in and came back every 2 days to have them changed out. The dr had to reopen the incision once more after that, but had me take Vicodin beforehand. After it was all healed up, the scar can hardly be seen. That was my first and last csection. Lol

Re: Ptosis (Eyelid Drooping) Video & Pics

I have lazy eye in both eyes. How my mom figured out something was wrong was she took a bunch of pics with those old 110 cameras and only one eye was red. I was a teen and for 2 years, did the patch thing. I now wear contacts, one for seeing far and the other like like a bi-focial. Doing it that way also helps with the double vision. I never did get the surgery to straighten them out so most of the time, when i am talking to someone, they don't know it unless i tap them. But i just about have to do that now as i have to see what they say. I am now deaf.
