Re: Pictures From My Gallbladder Removal
i had this operation too on 30th April, 2009. there were three stones. it was very painful. it took me a week to stand on my feet properly after operation... you had more stones so i guess yours was worse than my case. may you recover soon. take care of your health. regards |

Re: Pictures From My Gallbladder Removal
I know someone who recently had this surgery, before she had the surgery, she couldn't walk or go anywhere or do anything... One good thing in your pictures, looks like it was done laproscopically, small inscision,camera/tools. Had it been an open surgery? yikes! |

Re: Pictures From My Gallbladder Removal
Yep I am definitely thankful it was done laproscopically. Large incisions are no fun. I've had a few. The big problem in recovering is the terrible pain that you have due to the co2 being pumped into your stomach. It causes neck, back and shoulder pain that I have never experienced before. I was miserable and almost unable to move for a week.

Re: Pictures From My Gallbladder Removal
Sorry you had to endure such an awful op but guess it was worth it to relieve the symptoms. Thanks for sharing your story I had staples in my scalp after neurosurgery and they were really itchy and annoying!! They came out quicker and with no snagging than regular sutures though. |

Re: Pictures From My Gallbladder Removal
Ouch! Can't Believe they gave you staples. I got mine yanked out but they glued me shut! And yes, next to torture or a heart attack, a full on gallbladder attack is the worst pain imaginable! Still have my 3 biggest stones in a vile, broke one open to see, lot's of yellow and green bile goodness lol!
