I recently had to have my gallbladder removed and I figured I would share some pictures of my incisions with you guys. I have posted some pictures of them a couple days after the surgery, with the staples still in and some pics of them now.

They look pretty gnarly as the staple holes got infected and the incision on my belly button I can't get to heal up right.

It was actually a pretty painful operation to recover from. Much better than the attacks I was having from the gallstones though. I am also including some pictures of diseased gallbladders. Pretty terrible to know something like that was inside me.

Just a note, none of the gallbladder pictures were mine but the incision pics are.

Yes ma'am it sure does. I have had 4 c sections but this surgery whooped my ass!

You poor thing, why on earth did they staple instead of just use stitches? Ouch :( Hope you're feeling better now

Yeah it's pretty terrible. I never knew the inside of my gallbladder could look like that. They said mine was FULL of small stones. I was very icked.

No idea why they used staples and not stitches. Seemed like it wouldn't be much more time consuming to stitch a few times. It was extremely aggravating. I thought I busted them a few times.
