Re: Newborn Baby Infected With The Herpes Simplex Virus
That is not how a baby contracts HSV! The mother is infected with the virus and transmits it during a vaginal birth. LOL! Y’all are gullible!

A baby can go blind but the ointment that is given to ALL babies immediately after birth is used to prevent herpes transmission.

I disagree. There is nothing better than seeing a shiny clean german helmet standing to attention (as if the Fuhrer himself was passing by) and twitching as it prepares itself to plunge into battle with a ripe virginal poonani. Whereas the uncut world are simply "fetta factories" - and should be verboten from entering a womans 'mud tunnel or fun funnel'. I have spoken. This matter is closed. |

Re: Newborn Baby Infected With The Herpes Simplex Virus
erythromycin ointment is placed into a newborn's eyes to prevent ophthalmia neonatorum (ON), which could lead to blindness. one of the leading causes of ON is chlamydia. gonorrhea also causes it but chlamydia is the more common one (at least in the US). of course other bacteria and a slew of viruses can....among them HSV. the ointment does not treat or prevent ON caused by HSV. it is an antibiotic....HSV is, as the name denotes, a virus. when a woman has a history of HSV (or develops an outbreak while she is pregnant) it is recommended she be placed on acyclovir (typically the one used) as suppressive therapy beginning at 36 weeks gestation. now, when she presents in labor and has any active genital lesions or any prodromal symptoms (burning, pain similar to previous outbreaks) she is offered a c-section. THAT is how transmission of HSV to newborns is prevented. of course, women arent forced to have a c-section if they have active genital lesions, anyone who talks of that happening has likely never set foot in a medical building in this day and age. however, you can be damn sure a doctor will document up and down, left and right, sideways, frontways, backways, and any other way on her chart that she was offered a c-section, understood the risks of transmission of HSV to her newborn, and elected for a vaginal delivery. BUT.....she will still sue the doctor when the baby gets HSV. seen it happen. |

Re: Newborn Baby Infected With The Herpes Simplex Virus
Unfortunately, it’s true. A quote from Pulpit and Pen: “In ultra-orthodox Judaism, a practice known as metzitzah b’peh goes back to the 4th Century Babylonian Talmud, and is not a tradition taken from the Holy Bible. Metzitzah b’peh (meaning “oral suckage”) is a practice in which the mohel (or mohelim, plural) who practice Jewish circumcision uses his mouth to stop the bleeding of the infant. It is not believed to be sexual in nature but was, at one time, thought somehow medicinal.” IMO, that this practice continues into the 21st century is outrageous and dangerous to minors! This keeps happening to newborns who are circumcised in this manner. It’s infuriating that they must now deal with a painful, lifetime herpes infection. We don’t know what is in the minds of these rabbis. They are super-orthodox, and I hope that there wouldn’t be any perverts, but statistically speaking, it’s going to happen. Can we just move into the 21st century and avoid the appearance of evil and the possibility for innocent babies to be victimized, either sexually by allowing them to get a lifetime herpes infection?! Poor little babies.
