My uncle got bit on his arm , ended up in the hospital with a big chunk of rotten flesh removed. Brown recluse are verified motherfuckers.

I was a day off. He was as bitten on Thursday not Wednesday. I’ve fixed the OP. Today is day 6.

It’s not looking too bad considering. That’s a good thing. How’s he feeling?

It's looking like he's going to need a full right arm-ectomy. Poor bastard.

He's feeling fine. It's a little tender. He went to his PCP today and she said that while it looks nasty - it looks like he got to urgent care/on antibiotics early enough to prevent major problems from it. Instructed him to keep doing what he's doing.

It has caused some slight PTSD for him though. He's extra mindful of itching sensations of something crawling on him. A stink bug flew into his face in the dark last night and I've never seen him move so fast. He slept with the light on.

Going to clean it later tonight and will post another picture.

Glad he’s feeling better and that he was seen soon enough that it didn’t start eating up his back. Very lucky there.

I’ve got a lifelong issue with insects that fly around my head. My hands move like uncorked lighting from a bottle when something comes near me so I understand the feeling. He’ll need to start carrying around rolls of tape and paper suits for when he goes back to work. You know, cover any openings where bugs can get into your clothes.

Glad he’s going to come through this is okay shape baring his pts…

I can kind of relate. If I even hear a buzzing of any kind I'm running for the hills.

Hmm... he wears the disposable booties on his boots when he goes into people's houses - I will have to get him some disposable coveralls to wear in the icky places he has to crawl into. Like surgical drapes the doctors cover up with.

Don't know if he'll go for it.
