Re: My Breast Reduction

My swelling has gone down. I'm down to a D cup! Woohoo! I'm still swollen around the chest, though... measuring at 38, still. I was at 34 before surgery.

I'm infected. Started turning red, warm, and sore, so I made an appointment with the surgeon. He agreed that it might be an infection, and prescribed an antibiotic. I've still got red areas, but the pain level has dropped dramatically. Now, it mostly feels like I've got a sunburn if they're not being touched. Still really tender when they are touched, though. *sigh*

Wish I'd healed as quickly as you did!

Aw, that's horrible that you're possibly infected! I'm glad that the pain has gone down, because that was the worst; when you feel fine, yet you're still so tender. It felt more like a bruise for me, but I totally can relate to that sunburn feeling. Just tender and sore to the touch.

Oh my!

Those looks SUPER fine!
Thank you!

My boyfriend (I know, I HAVE A BOYFRIEND OH MY GOD) was kissing me and cuddling on Saturday morning and he turned to me and said, "You know, you have really nice breasts." Feels good, man.

Re: My Breast Reduction

I really, really think the infection is contributing to the pain. My left breast feels SOOOO much better today! It's like everything inside was tied up in knots, and suddenly, in that breast, the knots came loose. Yay! Now if only the right will follow. LOL

Congrats on having a boyfriend(!!), particularly one who thinks you have great boobs! LOLOL

Aw, I'm glad that the left is feeling great. It's going to take awhile, but I promise they'll feel amazing once the heal. Probably around 2 months to have them soft again.

AND YES boyfriend. We've been friends since May (right after surgery, started talking on Reddit, ended up living close to me... blah blah) and we met in August and we're officially dating as of Tuesday. It's so exciting!

Re: My Breast Reduction

Wanted to say that in less than 3 weeks (on the 18th), I will make it to 6 months post-op. I wanted to thank everyone here for their kindness and support and sharing their own stories. I've been so happy with the results!

Good for you!!

I'm infected. AGAIN. *sigh* This healing thing would go a LOT faster if I didn't have the infection thing to deal with.

Oh my God, that's the worst!

I mean I am recovering from a nasty UTI/Kidney Infection, so I can't imagine how horrible it'd be with you, and affecting how you're healing. My infection is super painful, but at least can't be seen.

It just is annoying because my family keeps wondering how I got such a thing...

Gee, by drinking too much soda? Or not enough water? Sheesh. It's not like it's an STD. LOL
