Re: My Breast Reduction

I am glad for you. I have the opposite problem. I would never wish for someone to have backache, and other problems from breast size.I hope you are more comfortable now.

Re: My Breast Reduction

Ok, this is too amusing not to share. I was talking to someone online, and trying to explain to her that my old bras were HUGE. I told her the underwires were bigger than a headband. She thought I was kidding, so I took a picture. And now I'm gonna share it here. LOL

Re: My Breast Reduction

Bah. Trust me. Nobody will notice the scars in the middle of an intimate moment. ;o)

I just checked my insurance claims for my surgery... we're at $21,000 and counting! I've got $21k boobs!!
I know people won't care, but it's just a hold up I have. Like, "Oh, they'll never be "normal" again." or whatever.

And $21k? Mine was around $5k. Outpaitent I suppose is what makes it cheaper.

It's not a big deal since you aren't going to the club every night to have sex with shallow guys. I'm sure you'll find someone who won't care about the scaring, especially since you've not had sex yet. It makes me think that you have spent a long time looking, and won't exactly rush into having sex with a guy you just started dating.

I think it would be noticeable during sex, but how would I know? LOL
Exactly. I mean, it kind of sucks that they're there, but I'm starting to not notice the scars as much anymore. I am not shy about the scars, and I'm sure they'd understand.

Re: My Breast Reduction

So far, the facility fee is something like $8850, and the surgeon's fee is $9500. Anesthesiologist's fee is $2500. Pathology's fee $500.

What I'm not pleased about is the anesthesiologist is NOT an in-network provider. So I may end up paying a buttload. And they sent my leftovers to pathology at a hospital that isn't in-network, either. *sigh*

Thankfully, my insurance DOES cover out-of-network providers... just not at the same rate as in-network providers. We'll have to wait and see how this turns out. Theoretically, ALL of it should have cost me no more than my $175 copay.

Since my parents paid, I don't know the actual price nor the breakdown of the fees.

I think my surgeon's fee was something like $2,000. I knew her personally.

And I think the rest was hospital and anesthesiologist fees. That sucks about insurance problems.

Re: My Breast Reduction

Almost all of my bruising is gone! Figured I'd put it in before/after context, too. Scary, huh? I'm still measuring at DDD, though. That doesn't make me too happy. Still better than an L, I guess.

Oh my God, you're looking awesome! And even though you're at a DDD, you're looking great. I wanted to be a C, but I'm a D, but again, it's better than before.

I am a 34D now. It's a pretty good size. Clothes fit. I don't feel as objectified. I am more confident.

I am tall, which may have made my boobs look smaller. I'm 5'7" and 135lbs.
