My heart just broke. While I can understand how shocking giving birth to him must have been for the mother, looking at him struggle made my inner mother(although I've no children) want to just hold him. If I would give birth to a baby like that, which I really, really hope I don't have to, I'd hold him/her while the doctor's give him/her sedatives enough to make the suffering stop.
